HB26-1290 - Criminal Offense of Assault

This bill increases strangulation to a second-degree felony that brings justice to victims that have been ignored for far too long. Strangulation is one of the strongest warning signs for future homicide. A domestic violence victim is 750% more likely to be killed by the perpetrator after a strangulation incident.

SB26-085 - Military Protection Orders

This bill strengthens protections for domestic violence victims by requiring police to check for any existing military protection orders when responding to incidents. It also ensures courts consider those orders as relevant evidence when deciding whether to issue a temporary civil protection order.

HB26-1070 - Third-Party Network Agreements for Dental Services

This bill helps stop insurers from leasing dental discounts without consent. It protects consumers from surprises costs.

HB26-1118 - Colorado Ireland Trade Commission

This legislation had the support of the Denver Metro Chamber, Colorado Chamber, agriculture, and a multitude of businesses and education entities. and An Ireland–Colorado Trade Commission would strengthen economic ties, attract investment and innovation, and open global opportunities for businesses in both places. Similar commissions have been established in 25 States.

SJR26-019: Colorado & Taiwan Sister-State Relations

Reaffirming Colorado's sister-state relationship with Taiwan. This partnership is built on shared values of freedom, democracy, economic and educational development. Taiwan is celebrating 30 years of Democratic elections. This will expand possibilities and opportunities for businesses, agriculture, educators, and communities.

The first time we have recognized veterans that served in combat operations following the attacks on 9/11 at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

HB25-1192 - Financial Literacy Graduation Requirement

This key legislation was requested by students and parents across Colorado. It requires public high school students to pass a financial literacy class for graduation. The goal is to equip students with a basic understanding of debts and income, assets and liabilities. The multitude of credit cards and other debt incurring venues in the modern world make it imperative for students to have a basic understanding of financial literacy. In addition, it shows students the various programs that are available for educational and vocational loans.

HB25-1184 - Community-Based Continuing Care for Seniors

Under current law, life care institutions provide life and health support services to senior residents through independent living, assisted living, or skilled nursing. The act allows life care institutions to also provide community-based continuing care services to seniors in their homes, as well as other services that benefit individuals who are awaiting admission to a life care institution.

SB25-279 - Colorado Code of Military Justice Updates

This bill strengthens Colorado’s military justice system by aligning it with the federal Uniform Code of Military Justice, ensuring consistency standards across the board. It streamlines existing laws, clarifies leadership authority, and improves court-martial procedures to promote fairness and accountability.

SB25-274 - Amend Delivery Requirements Wine Direct Shipping

This legislation requires delivery drivers to confirm the individual accepting delivery is at least 21 years of age and not visibly intoxicated. It reduces regulatory burdens and eliminates duplicative verification processes.

SB25-194 - Sunset Dental Practice Act

The bill maintains oversight of the dental profession while refining board operations, definitions, and administrative processes to improve efficiency. It strengthens consumer protections and supports safe, high-quality dental care across the state.

HJR25-1016 - Persian Gulf War Service Members

Concerning recognition and remembrance of Colorado military veterans who served in the Persian Gulf War.

HB25-1151 - Arbitration of Health Insurance Claims

The bill requires out-of-network health insurance arbitration to use a batching process so multiple claims can be reviewed together under one fee and directs the insurance commissioner to set rules on what information insurers must provide providers with initial claim payments.

Requires the Colorado prescription drug affordability review board to consider input from the Colorado rare disease advisory council under certain circumstances.

Provides oral health screening in public schools to help with prevention and education for kids and parents.

SB24-124 Health-Care Coverage for Biomarker Testing

Requires health-care coverage for biomarker testing of certain cancer and rare disease to provide targeted treatment.

Regarding the continuation of the Colorado veterans' service-to-career program.

HB24-1371 More Uniform Local Massage Facilities Regulation

To help reduce human trafficking, requires local governments in accordance with statewide regulations to establish a process that requires periodic criminal background checks for massage facility operators, owners, and employees.
